Prior to developing this product, many awful salt substitutes were sampled. Halso Salt was chosen as it is the only non-bitter salt substitute that could be found. Halso Salt is made from corn. The same herb/spice formula used to make Sassy Salt® is used as a product base in Sodium-Free Sassy™. The difference is all the herbs and spices are ground or powdered. The bead granules of Halso Salt are smooth and will not stick to anything large. Using powdered or ground ingredients insures that the various ingredients used in Sodium-Free Sassy™ do not separate into layers once packaged.
Sodium-Free Sassy™ is ideal for use on home-cooked food. Sodium-Free Sassy™ can be used as both a salt and pepper substitute, but Sodium-Free Sassy™ has more flavor.
